LDC1614EVM: Bricked after firmware upgrade using Sensing Solutions EVM GUI.

Hi,

I tried to update the firmware of my LDC1614EVM using Sensing Solutions EVM GUI. It showed 'update succeed' but I can not connect the board to the EVM GUI after that. Windows is able to detect the board and shows the EVM(COM4) in the device manager once I connect the USB cable. I tried to short PUR pin to VUSB(which is R6 and C29 on the LDC1614 EVM board) but nothing happened. I am new to the microcontroller. It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide a step by step guide of how to fix it.

Hello Xiao,

This E2E question gives a good step-by-step guide for putting the MCU into BSL mode. Please note that these instructions are for a different EVM, so the pins in step 1 are not the same pins that you should short on the LDC1614EVM. You should continue to short R6 to C29. Also take care with which sides of both components you are shorting together. For both components you should short the sides closer to the MSP430.
