LDC1612EVM: Capacitive effect when touching Laptop or power-supply-cable

Hi,

when I am touching my Laptop or the USB-cable connected to the LDC EVM I can see a capacitive effect at the sensor data. How can I solve this problem ?

Hi Stefan,

You should be able to solve this problem by connecting your laptop to earth GND through a charging cable.

This application note has more information about this phenomenon if you are interested.

The application note is interesting but unfortunately doesn't solve my problem. By connecting the charging cable or creating a local ground as described, I can change the capacitive effect but it is still significant visible
