IWR6843: is mmwave certication process must require dca1000?

Dear Sir/Madam,
How are you doing?
I designed IWR6843 based hardware and it haven't DCA 1000 connector but I can capture data from serial port.
I think I can any configure  IWR6843 by mmWave Studio + configuration port(UART)
Why you use DCA1000 for UL certication process?
I think it can use Serial Data port is engough for this. Am I something wrong understand?
In the future, I want to export I designed IWR6843 based board to USA. In this case it must required for DCA1000 interface port for cetification?
Or If I can show data using serial port, is it enought for certification process?
