CCS/AWR1843BOOST: The difference between the two Tx antennas and three Tx antennas configuration for the beamforming mode

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

For the AWR1843BOOST, in the beamforming mode, three Tx antennas (including one elevation  and two azimuth ones)can be used to forming the boeam. Now I just want to use the two azimuth antennas for the beamforming mode.If I use this configuration, will the max detectable range be nearer than three antennas condition? Will the intensity of the echo signal be weaker than three antennas condition? If only two azmuth antennas are used, the ground clutter will be removed, that is to say, only the objects  that are the same level with the radar can be detected,  is that right?

Thanks,

Regards,

Rata
