CCS/AWR1642BOOST-ODS: I just want to develop a code to distinguish different objects and display distance and angle of stationery objects in a room quickly

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST-ODS

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Is there any way I can learn to write a code to be able to distinguish different stationary objects and display the distance and angle of stationary objects in a normal room?

  • Hi,

We already have a demo that may be doing what you are trying to do.

Please check the Object Detection demo provided in the Automotive Toolbox available on the TI Resource Explorere (dev.ti.com)

This demo has been optimized to detect static objects.

The associated matlab gui displays detected points (x,y,z)

You can create another gui if needed

    thank you

  • Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

    I already tried that.

I want to get a clear resolution of humans in a room with little movement. What configuration should I change to do that? Right now its fully clustery and unstable.

Can I get a proper resolution by trying to manipulate the chirp configuration or should I try changing something in the code?

  • Hi

The angular resolution with the BOOST ODS EVM will not be sufficient for this application.

    Thank you
