1) is it possible to detect direction of object movement in 1D using OPT3101.

2) What is the field of view of this sensor?

Hi,

1) yes, OPT3101 supports up to 3 zones of detection (3 tx channels). Direction of movement can be determined because objects can be detecting from one zone to the next.

2) OPT3101 is an analog front end. This means that optical components are external and so FoV is flexible and chosen by the user
