IWR1443BOOST: Behavior at low power ADC

Hi,

I found that if I increased the sampling rate while low power ADC was enabled, the detection distance became incorrect.

Placed the corner reflector at a distance of 8 m from the EVM, and I tested in the OOB demo.
When the sampling rate is 6Msps, a peak of 8m is obtained, but when the sampling rate is increased to 18Msps, the peak of 13m.

The cfg file used "Best Range", and only the sampling rate was changed.

Please tell me why the detection distance changes.

The maximum ADC sampling rate is not the same in low power ADC mode and regular ADC mode. The information is shown in the table 5.22 of the

mmWave-Radar-Interface-Control.pdf

In case you could not find the document. Here is a snapshot for table 5.22. So the max ADC rate with low power ADC is only 9.35Msps in your case.

I've never seen above document, however I could know what Low power ADC's limitation.
