Hello,

We want to perform a content check of the program memory against the RPRC image. I recognized that parts of the vectors section (address < 0x100) is filled with data that is not coming from the RPRC file. Can you help me to explain where this content is coming from?

The RPRC image contains a section of length 0x3c starting at 0x00, but the memory between 0x0000003C and 0x000000C8 contains not the zeroes I expected.

This issue was not present on the AWR1443.

Benjamin,

Try filling that section with 0x00 and see if you still see non-zero values after loading the RPRC file.

Hello Yogesh,

When I fill this area with zeroes, the zeroes remain there, SW seems to run fine and my program memory check passes.

I did this by defining a dummy array of zeroes and linking it into the VECTORS section.

When I remove this array again and flash the image, the memory check fails again.

I assume this is some remaining "junk" data from the ROM bootloader? Or is it there on purpose?

Is there a more elegant way to fill this area? - can I tell the linker or RPRC converter to fill the gap?

Hi Benjamin,

You can modify the r4f linker command file as:

VECTORS (X) : fill=0x0 origin=0x00000000 length=0x00000100
