AWR1642: Config setting for monitoring and mitigating an interference

Part Number: AWR1642

Hi,

I confirmed that two videos shown in bottom represented an interference can be mitigated by monitoring CQ information. So, I'm trying to monitor CQ information and mitigate an interference in real-time.

My question is,

1. Are there available config setting in released SDK demos for monitoring and mitigate interferences automatically in real-time?
2. Suppose you have something method or program to mitigate interferences in real-time, I was wondering if you could inform them?

  • Hi,

There is no full-grown application for interference mitigation but mmWave SDK provides a test application as a reference to read and verify the CQ data.

Please refer 'C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_03_00_03\packages\ti\control\mmwavelink\test\' directory where MmwaveLink_VerifyCQData function of link_test.c file read and verify the CQ data.

  • Hi,

I checked the link_test.c file is saved to C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_03_00_03\packages\ti\control\mmwavelink\test\common, although the same one is also saved to previous SDK folder such as SDK2.0 and SDK3.2. Does this mean a function for monitoring CQ information is not only included in SDK3.3 but also SDK2.0(or other versions)?

In addition, I found we can set CQRxSatMonitor, CQSigImgMonitor and analogMonitor in Config setting.
Can we get CQ information from UART by setting these values correctly?

Are there any method for checking CQ information readily without data capture card such as DCA1000 and TSW1400?

    Regards,

    kose

  • Hi Kose,

CQ data can only be sent out of the device using CSI/LVDS and capture using DCA1000/TSW1400.

Although you can use other interfaces like UART/SPI to send these CQ data but this way it may not fit with the chirp timing. The interface is slow and chirp will be faster, CQ memory will refresh at every chirp. So either you increase the chirp time to accommodate with these interface speed to fit within time or use LVDS/CSI interface to sen outside.
