AWR1843: Example data and data formatting

Hi Kathleen,

Many of the experiments in that list have been done using existing lab application which user can try at their end to see the data and procedure to do experiment is provided in the page.

Which specific experiment you are looking at?

I'd like to be able to see example data before having to set up the board and test conditions, which would allow our software/firmware teams to begin development.

Is there a way to gain access to the raw data mentioned in this article?

HI, Kethleen:

Not every lab has the same interface and data format.  But if you want to know the format in the xwr18xx out-of-box demo in SDK, go to the Doxygen Documentation file:///C:/ti/mmwave_sdk_03_03_00_03/packages/ti/demo/xwr18xx/mmw/docs/doxygen/html/index.html and searching for "output sent to the host", you can find the format for: 

1) list of detected objects

2) range profile and noise floor profile

3) Azimuth static heatmap

4) Range Doppler heatmap

and etc.

Radar cube is saved in L3 memory, and format can be found at:

Note that xwr14xx is supported in an older version of the SDK.
