This issue is difficult to debug because we can't reproduce.

First, the number of peaks is very high. Do you expect such a high number of peaks?

What are

• number of chirps
• number of samples/chirp

The test data in this CFAR
samples: 256
chirp: 256
* HWA is divided into 16 chirps and looped 16 times.

We also know that due to the AWR1843 errata, "PEAK_GROUP_EN" cannot be used, and that register values may be incorrect while HWA is running. Therefore, it is considered that a large number of peaks are detected, and the number of detected peaks may not be correctly read from the register.
So, in this test, to know the condition of the result, we intentionally set “CFAR_THRESH” to 0 so that many results are output.

Are you using the cfar cyclic mode?

Could you share with us the cfar configuration paramset?
