Hello,

I see we can use this chips in a lot of applications

My question, Could we use this Chip FDC1004, for detect " Water leak"?

    Hi Hussein,

    The FDC1004 is a 4 channel high-resolution capacitive sensor that can sense up to 15pf of grounded capacitors. Liquid level sensing is one of the typical applications because of the multi-channel capacitive sensing.

    Both these methods require a container to measure the liquid level in that container. If the water leak can be captured in a container as explained in the app note and datasheet, then FDC1004 can be used. This device cannot be used for a typical water leak detector where a transducer is used to measure the shift in frequency with water.
