DCA1000EVM: Chirp Configurations and Saving Data

Part Number: DCA1000EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1243BOOST,

Hello,

I have two questions.

One, how do you turn chirp signaling off? I want to transmit a signal from the AWR1243Boost chip without there being a frequency change or slope; I just want a stable single.

Two, how does the DCA1000EVM save data? I know that the data saves in the adc_data.bin file, but every time I trigger a new frame and do Post Proc, it keep showing the bin file from when I first ran the program. How do I get the chip to overwrite old data so it can show me the new data?

Thanks,

Jazmean

  • Hi Jazmean,

You need to use the continuous mode of mmWave Sensor, where it generates a signal with fixed frequency constantly.

Please refer mmWave Studio User guide (section 11) for this feature.

With DCA1000, it should save to a new file or overwrite the existing file (if same path is given in Studio text path). You can try to move the lastly captured file to a different location then recapture to check this issue.

    Regards,
