MMWCAS-RF-EVM: How to stream via MMWCAS-DSP-EVM raw data to a desktop computer and process in (soft) real-time

Hello, I have the couple MMWCAS-RF-EVM - MMWCAS-DSP-EVM.

To start developing algorithms, I would like to do stream the radar raw data to a computer connected via ethernet to the MMWCAS-DSP-EVM interface.

Can you provide some hints on how to do that?

I have been able to serially connect to the FTDI and configure the linux os on the radar side, but mmwave studio examples only works "offline", that means only transferring the acquired data from the onboard storage to the desktop computer and then post-process them.

Hi Marco,

The MMWCAS-DSP-EVM was designed for capture or real-time processing of the data on the onboard TDA2 ADAS processor. The Processors SDK for Radar (http://www.ti.com/tool/PROCESSOR-SDK-TDAX) provides some real-time processing examples. One of these is an example streaming processed FFT, azimuth heatmap and point cloud to a host PC running an associated matlab network packet processor and GUI.
