LDC1614EVM: Output signal measurement method( Without GUI Tool)

Part Number: LDC1614EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LDC1614

Hello.

In order to evaluate the resolution accuracy,

I am planning to measure the LDC1614EVM  with the laser displacement meter at the same time with an oscilloscope etc.

Please tell me the most suitable measurement point for LDC1614EVM measurement.(ex: IC Pin number)

Best regards.

  • Hi

The LDC1614 is a 4-channel, 28-bit inductance to digital converters (LDCs) for inductive sensing solutions. The output can be monitored through GUI or a microcontroller by reading the register. Unfortunately, the device doesn't have an analog output pin to monitor through a scope or meter.

But, there is a different approach you can take here to get a similar output. The oscillator frequency can be monitored on the input pins, but the scope need to configure to measure the frequency of the signal. Please refer to the app note https://www.ti.com/lit/an/snoa950/snoa950.pdf for the details of this approach.
