Hi,

I have to measure height of water in a cylinder.

We have 4 cylinders side by side with distance of 22 mm between the centers.

Cylinder Dimensions:

Outer Diameter (O.D): 35 mm
Inner Diameter (I.D): 35 mm
Height : 110 mm

Please advice ,what is the best capacitive sensing method for our application?

Hello Ofer,

Thanks for using TI solutions. The FDC1004 is the part that can be a target for liquid level sensing applications. To Begin with please refer to the design guide of using our solutions to measure liquid.

For your application, you may need a sensor per tube to monitor the liquid. The app note does describe and provide guidance on designing the sensor and also provide the basics to help scale the design for different applications.

Thanks for your reply,

I'm familiar with TIDA-00317 document and I'm considering to buy/manufacture few (10) sensors based on this document for testing purposes.

Your help with the following will be much appreciated:

Can you recommend on the best solution for my application?
Do you know where I can buy TIDA-00317 or similar sensor, for the best of my knowledge, TI doesn't offer/sell the sensor.
