Hi everyone,

I am developing some possible apps with the IWR6843ISK-ODS device, and I would like to know how the complex numbers of the azimuth static heatmap are calculated. Are they maybe a multiplication of the range and amplitude profiles? And in that way, how could I obtain the azimuth profile?

If someone could help me, please, I would be thankful.

Hi Akash,

First of all, thank you for your interest. You're totally right, I forgot it. I'm running the point cloud demo coming with the SDK 3.3.0. In its output (through UART port), a vector is delivered. This vector consists of: magic world + range profile + ... + azimuth static heatmap (in Q9 format). So I would like to know i how this last part related to the azimuth is obtained by (I assume) the DSP inside the board.

Greetings Zizang,

Thank you for your help. That helps me, but does not completely solve my problem, because it is tricky to interpret. Should I take into account the HWA or the DSP process? And what about the chirps? They are being taken those coming from transmitter and not from receiver?And what are the meanings of the numbers 1-4 for every chirp?

HI, Jose:

SDK out-of-box demo only generate the zero Doppler vector for each range bin. Then the actual heatmap is generated in the visualizer on PC using these zero Doppler vector.

In order to understand how the visualizer did it, there is some code from other e2e thread:
