Vanishree,
The error message seen in your reply to your initial post usually indicates that you have not connected the DCA1000EVM to your PC yet. Please connect the DCA1000EVM to your PC and install the FTDI drivers.
You will need to take a few extra steps to install the updated FTDI Drivers, which can be found here: http://software-dl.ti.com/ra-processors/esd/MMWAVE-STUDIO/latest/exports/ftdi_driver_2_12.zip
Please make sure you are connecting to the "Application/UART" COM port entry from Windows Device Manager.
Regards,
Kyle
Vanishree,
I am going to need more information to help further debug this issue. I need to see what your physical setup looks like. The issue that I am seeing is that your device shows up in mmWave Studio as an AWR1843 ES 2.0 device. However, AWR1843 is only at ES 1.0 at this point so these is some underlying issue that needs to be resolved.
Please provide a screenshot of what your Windows Device Manager looks like when you have the AWR1843BOOST and DCA1000EVM connected to your PC.
Please provide a picture of the physical setup of your AWR1843BOOST and DCA1000EVM when it is connected to your PC. Please also provide an close up picture of your AWR1843BOOST EVM.
Please verify that you have MATLAB runtime v8.5.1 (32-bit) installed on your PC as well.
Regards,
Kyle
Vanishree,
I am not seeing that you have the correct MATLAB runtime installed on your PC. You need to have MATLAB runtime v8.5.1 (32-bit) installed.
You can download that software here: https://ssd.mathworks.com/supportfiles/downloads/R2015a/deployment_files/R2015aSP1/installers/win32/MCR_R2015aSP1_win32_installer.exe
You also need to make sure that your AWR1843BOOST EVM has the correct SOP mode. Both SOP0 and SOP1 need to be set to the on position.
Try these changes first and see if this resolves your issue.
If not, make sure that you also have a 5V power supply with at least 2.5A of current and apply that to the DCA1000EVM.
Regards,
Kyle
Vanishree,
Please also make sure that you have both SOP0 and SOP1 closed on the AWR1843BOOST. These settings must be used when capturing data with the DCA1000EVM.
If you are still seeing issues, you may need to edit the "Path" system variable so that the entry from MATLAB runtime 8.5.1 (32-bit) is listed before any of the other MATLAB runtime entries.

Kyle
Vanishree,
Please also make sure that you are connecting to the "Application/User UART" COM port entry in mmWave Studio. From the screenshot you provided, that would be COM4.

Kyle
