DRV5053: Hysteresis characteristic by temperature drift and magnetic field change

Genius 17295 points
Part Number: DRV5053

Hello,

I have two questions for DRV5053.

1.
Does DRV5053 have any hysteresis characteristic by temperature drift?
For example, if temperature is changed like 25C -> 60C -> 25C, is the sensitivity changed between the 1st 25C condition and the 2nd 25C condition after 60C?

2.

Does DRV5053 have any hysteresis characteristic by magnetic field change?
For example, if the magnetic field around DRV5053 is changed like 0mT -> 10mT -> 0mT, is output voltage changed between the 1st 0mT condition and the 2nd 0mT condition after 10mT?

Oba

  • Oba,

Since this is a linear Hall sensor, there is no hysteresis specification.  While the sensitivity may shift per the curve shown here with temperature, it should return to the nominal value as it cools back down.

Also, with the linear output response, the device should exhibit no hysteresis as a result of a changing magnetic field.  The response should be repeatable regardless of the prior magnetic field.
