PGA970: Full or detailed datasheet and information please

Part Number: PGA970

Hi there,

I'm working on a redesign to extend our product line that is currently using alternative LVDT drivers.

The PGA970 product page only have high level concept design information.

1) How can I find a proper datasheet and design information for the PGA970?

2) Due to the lack of publicly available detailed design information I'm concerned about the product status. Should we consider this device for a new design?

3) What design tools and costs is involved to develop this product. (I assume we will have to develop some user specific customer code for the M0)

4) I have many more hardware questions like power consumption and how much control we have over the peripherals, But I assume this will mostly be answered when we have more detailed documentation in front of us.

Can you please assist?

Regards,

Jéanne

  • Hello Jeanne,

    1. Please click on the "Request Now" link under "More information" on the PGA970 page. You can request access to the datasheet there. Make sure you use a company email to ensure your request goes through.

    2. Firmware and algorithm development help is not supported through E2E at this time, but there is no change to the production status of the PGA970, so it is still available to be used in new designs.

    3. Yes, you will need to develop custom firmware for the integrated M0. A free IDE like Code Composer Studio can be used to develop your firmware. For debugging you will need an XDS200 USB JTAG emulator to debug on the device itself.

    4. The documentation should clear up many questions, but any analog hardware related questions are fully supported on E2E, so feel free to ask once you have taken a look at the datasheet.

    Regards,
