TIDEP-01012: Is there an SDK behind the mmWaveStudio to make the whole working process with the TIDEP-01012 script-able?

Dear TI experts,

Is there a way to configurate the parameters of the radar (TIDEP-01012 Refrence Design, Radar + Evaluation Board) and starting the capturing process via a (Windows/Linux) terminal, such that I can code solutions for different applications? I am looking for something like a SDK that can be used with Python or other languages.

Hi,

mmWave Studio supports only LUA scripting.

examples are provided in

C:\ti\mmwave_studio_02_01_00_00\mmWaveStudio\Scripts

Examples are also provided how to use LUA commands from Matlab

C:\ti\mmwave_studio_02_01_00_00\mmWaveStudio\MatlabExamples

thank you for your fast reply. Can you please answer my question in my previouse post? And, is there a solution without Matlab and withouth the need to use a GUI? I am missing a SDK.

There is no SDK for the capture solution based on matlab.

Not for Capture solution. If your intent is to capture raw data than there is no SDK for that.

If you want to develop a real time demo, than you should look at the following TI Design

Instead of off line processing with matlab, the processing is performed real time on the Jacinto Processo using the Processor SDK

Unfortunately with this solution there is no data capture.

I want to develop a real time demo and have this: TIDEP-01012.

Can I do it with the TIDEP-01012 or do I need the TIDEP-01017?

Hi,

Since you intent to develop a real demo than you need to focus on the SW provided in TIDEP-01017.

The HW is the SAME for both TIDEP-01012 and TIDEP-01017. Only the sw is different.

The support will come from a different team.

I recommend you start a new thread referencing TIDEP-01017 and you explain what you plan to develop.

On my side I will close this thread now
