Hi Sir

I tried to import the AWR1243 IBIS model into Altium designer under SI sub menu but failed. Could you advice what could possible go wrong ?

Is there any TI document talk about this ?

    I recommend that you discuss the use of IBIS models with Altium Designer with Altium support directly. Can you please explain exactly what "failed" when you tried to apply the model?

    This is the error message I got in IbisErrors.txt when I tried import IBIS model. It does not look like the caused reason is from Altium side to me.

    Using IBIS check 4 it looks like the 2 errors were due to:

    • difference in the filename vs. the package model name in the file
    • additional characters present on line 220 

    Can you please try the attached ibs file? The warnings will still pop up when you apply the model, but you can press escape once to ignore that window. awr1243_csi_3v3_fcbga161.ibs

    Glad it is functional for you now. I have not utilized these IBIS models within the Altium Designer environment yet or other IBIS modeling environments. But based on previous processor IBIS model simulations, some signal integrity simulations can take a while depending on the waveform and other variable iterations you run with. That might be another Altium support question. If you have any other questions on the IBIS model please open up a new e2e ticket.
