AWR2243BOOST: TI MCU Launchpad for AWR2243BOOST.

Part Number: AWR2243BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR2243, AWR1843

I need suggestion for an appropriate TI MCU Launchpad to be used with AWR2243BOOST specifically for  moving mode speed enforcement (there are so many different types of TI Launchpads, quite confusing.) Thanks.

  • Hi,

I am not sure why you would use Launchpad with AWR2243BOOST.

I think you are using the wrong platform.

What are you trying to achieve?

    thank you

  • Hi Cesar,

    Thank you for your response.

I would like to work on the AWR2243Boost especially for vehicle tracking and speed enforcement in moving mode. In the User's Guide it was stated "The standard 20-pin BoosterPack headers make the evaluation board compatible with a wide variety of MCU LaunchPad development kits and enable easy prototyping." There are numerous MCU Launchpads by TI, that's why I needed to inquire for the right one.

Your kind suggestions on the subject would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Hi,

We are just in process to update this statement. It is not correct. AWR2243 is a sensor only device, this means that it does not include a user programmable core.

Because of that it is more difficult to evaluate it.

Do you have to evaluate AWR2243 or could you use AWR1843 instead?

AWR1843 is a programmable sensor device that is supported by an SDK.

Evaluation and development is self contained and much easier.

    thank you
