Dear team,
Could you explain the difference between OVEXC and VEXCO? Thanks.
Best regards,
Sammi

Hi Sammi,
OVEXCPS is the exciter supply over-voltage threshold. It is explained on page 19 of the datasheet.
The output overvoltage fault reported by the FBSTOV flag in the DEV_STAT4 register. During this fault, the device proceeds to the FAULT state. The typical value for setting the FBSTOV fault is 115% of the exciter voltage of that specific device.
VEXCO is the Exciter-amplifier differential output voltage. It is explained on page 20 of the datasheet.
The preamplifier gain is selectable though the EXTOUT_GL bits in the DEV_OVUV1 register and affects both the preamplifier ORS
output and the power amplifier outputs as shown in Figure 13

Sharath.
Dear TI team,
OVEXC(Differential overvoltage threshold) is 14V on page 10 of the datasheet,But VEXCO(Exciter-amplifier differential output voltage) is up to 24.27V on page 8 of the datasheet. Could you explain the difference between OVEXC and VEXCO? When VEXCO greater than 14V, PGA411 will signal the FAULT state(EXTOV)? In other words, What is the protection threshold of EXTOV on page 44 of the datasheet?
Hi,
I am closing this thread as a new E2E question is opened with the same question.
Thanks
