IWR1443: iwr1443 tx subharmonics

Part Number: IWR1443
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1642, AWR1443

Hi,

How big are  subharmonics of small order (1/2, 3/2) on transmitters?

Regards,
Gennadii

  • Hello Gennadii,

Could you please elaborate more on your request? what frequency? What is the reason for this request?

    Thanks and regards,

    CHETHAN KUMAR Y.B.

  • Hi Chethan,

I’m interesting in bigger harmonics/subharmonics level.

It’s necessary to design antenna for radars.

It seems that 78.5 GHz should be used as central frequency according 2134.AWR1642_AWR1443_antennas_simulation2.pdf

I would like to get 117 GHz and 39 GHz harmonics/subharmonics level or suppression if there isn’t any one bigger than those.

    Regards,

    Gennadii

  • Gennadii,

Thanks for your intent clarification, Yes, 78.5GHz would be used as central frequency.

I looked at our emission test reports for the ETSI certification, Tx unwanted harmonics were not detected or it was below the measurement equipment capability from 40GHz to 260GHz.

Also Tx and Rx ports are very narrow bandwidth, Harmonics levels are very low to be affecting front ends.

    Thanks and regards,

    CHETHAN KUMAR Y.B.
