Dear TI

If we use below antenna placement for MIMO application with IWR1843 . The chipset & SDK could support these setting and have any guide for MIMO antenna & DSP design ?

for horizontal angle our data processing could be use no.1 2 3 10 11 12 virtual channel for processing and the angle resolution be max antenna FOV/ 6 .

for vertical angle our data processing could be use no. 3 5 7 10 virtual channel for processing and the angle resolution be max natenna FOV /4 .

If above is ok , how to implmentation with mmwave SDK part. now's mmwave SDK version lack these parameters description . can help or give suggestion ?

Hello Agate,

This should be possible to support, However you may need to change the angle estimation code in Azimuth and Elevation direction to suit your antenna configuration.

Dear TI

We have use the angle estimation and Azimuth and Elevation direction for application it is ok , but this new antenna design at source code part is only setting angle estimation and azimuth & elevation part only ? Other part how to modify ? example data path ? If TI have give user guide for any antenna MIMO design source code coding guide is better for mm-wave product developer .

Hello Agate,

Thank you for the confirmation, with this only antenna change there is no need to change in the data path configurations.

You could refer to the below out of box demo application with source code from the below folder in SDK package:

C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_03_XX_XX\packages\ti\demo\xwr18xx\mmw
