Hi all,

I have bought the MMWAVEICBOOST from MOUSER, When I got the board, I connected the 5V power supply according to the user guide, but it didn't seem to work properly.

it cannot supply power, is there something wrong with my hardware?

I have checked my power adapter is providing 5V, and then check the related pin after plug in the power, I do not see the 5V voltage

Does this mean which component is not ON? Can I rework a board? or need to change one new board

I asked the agent - MOUSER, they said that I need to confirm the abnormality of the component through the E2E, and said that "Ti.com" agreed to replace the board, and they will assist in handling

Can you provide certification for this? I would appreciate it :)

Hi,

Can you share of picture of the setup while powered? MMWAVEICBOOST + Antenna module.

Which of the antenna modules are you using, IWR6843ISK, IWR6843ISK- ODS, or IWR6843AOPEVM?

But my question is that if the board is working, the LED on the board should be on after the power is connected, right?

Hi,

Yes, the LED on the boards should come on.

Does the IWR6843AOPEVM work when its connected via USB?
Can you also probe the board to confirm there is no short between power and ground plane?
Also if you have a 5V, 3A power supply, can you try that?

Hi Charles,

1. Yes, IWR6843AOPEVM can work normally in standalone, also can run the demo on visualizer.

2. Umm..okay, I checked between Power and GND, and they are shorted. Seems to be the problem, right?

3. Yes, It's still useless.

Please advise me what to do next, thanks.

Hi,

I don't know how it broke, This is the situation since I got the board, I did n’t do anything

That's why I contacted the agent - MOUSER to ask them to exchange,

But they said that I must come to E2E to inquire first, and they can only assist in the exchange after being certified.

I have never used.

I bought this product at the end of March, and it can be exchanged for only 30 days,

so I wonder if I can help me deal with this matter as soon as possible

Maybe you can provide the certification of my return, so that I can do the follow-up process.

or is there any other way?
