FDC1004: Implementation of a cylindirc capacitor

Part Number: FDC1004

Hi everyone,

I am designing a level sensor with a cylindrical capacitor, using the FDC1004. The range of capacitance variation is within the values that the chip accepts.

I have doubts about the implementation of the sensor. The sensor is inside the tank, and the internal electrode will be connected to Cin1, and the external one to GND. The tank is metallic and is not connected to the measurement system, so I suspect that any contact with it could generate capacitive couplings with GND, and therefore affect the measurement or even introduce noise into GND. How could I implement a shield with the FDC1004 so that the external fields do not affect my sensor or my GND, preferably leaving the tank floating?

I leave an outline of the measurement system below:

From already thank you very much,

Juan Pablo.
