IWR1443: mmwave-sdk building problem: Please set the environment variable MMWAVE_SDK_DEVICE

When trying to rebuild mmwave-sdk cli library following this post: https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/p/708175/2616079#2616079, the command prompt shows "../../common/mmwave_sdk.mak:40: *** Please set the environment variable MMWAVE_SDK_DEVICE." even after the setenv.bat is modified and run.

I have tried on both Windows and Ubuntu following the steps from the mmwave-sdk user's guide to build, but got the same issue, and I have double checked the script to make sure the device is set to iwr1443 with nothing else in the script changed. Please find a screenshot for the setenv.bat as below. The SDK version is 2.1.0.4.

Can someone please tell what is missed? Or any hint about what caused this problem? Thanks!

Hi Shuyang,

Did you ran setenv.bat on the same command window where you are executing "make clean".

If yes, could you please share the log of setenv.bat command.

Hi Yogesh,

Running the setenv.bat and make clean on the same window does work, it turns out that I didn't realize the effect of "set" command to set the environment variables is temporary.
