Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1642
Hi,
After looking at the AWR1642 block diagram (below), it looks like the one synthesizer generates the signal before the split off to the mixer and Tx. So I am assuming there is only one synthesizer?
Is there anyway that the synthesizer can transmit two distinct frequency bands simultaneously? I have a multistatic network of 3 AWR1642 and want two of the three to transmit at once. Since BPM does not work to do interference avoidance, I am thinking of transmitting at 77-79 GHz on one radar, and 79-81 GHz on another. In order to create the IF signal though, the received signals at both bands needs to mix with both frequency bands.
Therefore, each AWR1642 needs to transmit to the mixers both bands. Can two distinct frequency bands be transmitted simultaneously? Or can the synthesizer only generate one band at a time? Is there a more detailed block diagram than the one below?
Thank you!
George
