  • Hello,

    I can see there is BSS CPU Fault error in the output log. Did you make sure that sFlash is erased before this experiment and device is set to SOP-2 mode (jumpers on : SOP-0 and SOP-2).

    And what about if you try to run mmw demo application on the same board from SDK?

    The above is the information displayed for the first time running DEMO

    Later, I ran DEMO again, the above information was displayed, and the red light of the circuit board was on

  • And MMWAVE STUDIO appears an automatic exit

  • When using the IWR1443BOOST and DCA1000EVM together to capture raw data using mmWave Studio, the IWR1443BOOST should have jumpers on both SOP0 and SOP1.

    You also need to provide a separate power supply to the DCA1000EVM. So there will be two power supplies in your configuration, one for the IWR1443BOOST EVM and another for the DCA1000EVM. It looks like you only have a single power supply connected to the IWR1443BOOST EVM. Please add an additional power supply and connect it to the DCA1000EVM.

    Additionally, when running the Out-of-Box Demo, only SOP0 should have a jumper across. Before this step though, you flash the Out-of-Box Demo to the IWR1443BOOST EVM using Uniflash. When flashing, both SOP0 and SOP2 have jumpers across. After successfully flashing the binary, power cycle the device and then remove the SOP jumper across SOP2.

  • When I selected RF LDO BYpass Enable, I can use IWR1443 to provide power for DCA1000EVM

    Before I could use it normally to collect data, but suddenly there was an error

  • LDO Bypass Enable does not provide power for the DCA1000EVM. The LDO Bypass Enable is for providing a 1 V supply for the RF VCOs, not powering the DCA1000EVM. The DCA1000EVM requires a 5V input which is not passed through in the BoosterPack pins on your IWR1443BOOST.

    You need to add a second power supply with a rating of 5V and at least 2.5A.

    You will connect the second power supply to the DCA1000EVM and set the power switch to the "DC_JACK_5V_IN" position.

    Please take these steps listed in this response to avoid additional posts on this thread. This solution should resolve your issue.

  • I have two sets of IWR1443 + DCA1000EVM, the same parameter configuration, one set can be used normally, the other set will report an error, I now suspect whether the radar hardware is damaged

    I don't see confirmation in old reply but what is the status with mmwave sdk demo application on this IWR1443 board?

    Ideally, boards that are shipped being verified to be working.

  • Please make sure to set the "CAN/SPI" switch on the IWR1443BOOST EVM to the SPI position. Otherwise this will cause issues when trying to use the IWR1443BOOST with the DCA1000 in mmWave Studio.
