AWR1443: drift in x co-ordinate

Part Number: AWR1443

Hello Sir,

Is there any chances of drift in the value of X co-ordinate when performing data collection of the same object(stationary) fixed at a fixed distance from radar for a couple of days.

Thanks and regards

KK

  • What do you mean 'for couple of days'??

Make sure you capture the data correctly and process it in right form.

  • Hello Sir,

We are using awr1443 demo files with some modifications for data collection. In that we are performing 1D FFT, 2D FFT, then CFAR detection and collecting peak values of the detected objects. Then along with the peak values some neighborhood values are collected and send over UART to PC.

Angle calculation we are performing in PC. But we were unable to find any similarities in the obtained data.

Note:- For checking the consistency/repeatability  of peak values we performed data collection as we said in the previous mail for a week.

What could be the problems affecting the radar if we are getting inconsistent data or drift in X co-ordinate. Please provide a solution for this

    Thanks and regards

  • Hello KK,

I would recommend checking this scenario first with default mmw demo from SDK. We don't see this behavior of moving the static object in the visualizer.
