IWR1843: RF cable to connect radar board and antenna board

Hi,
in our application scenario, the antennas cannot be placed on the same pcb with the radar chip. I would like to ask if it is possible to use RF cables to connect the radar board and the antenna board? If it is possible, are there any recommandations regarding the design and tested cables? Thanks a lot!

Hi,

There 3 TXs and 4RXs on the 1843, you will need to route all those pins with cables capable of transmitting 77GHz with minimal losses, you may also be able to use wave guides if that's an option.

Summary is that it is doable but might be tricky to implement. I am not aware of any customer with this solution at the point.
