AWR1843BOOST: Windows 10 DCA1000 and AWR1843

Issues with running Windows 10 with DCA1000 hooked up to AWR1843. The FIDI drivers are not installing. So trying to follow the training video does not go very far. Where are the recommended setup instructions? What issues are WIN 10 unique?

You will need to download the updated FTDI drivers from ti.com. You can find them either on the SDK download page or the mmWave Studio page.

Or you can simply download the page directly here: http://software-dl.ti.com/ra-processors/esd/MMWAVE-SDK/latest/exports/ftdi_driver_2_12.zip

Once you have downloaded this package, unzip the files to your PC. Then connect your DCA1000EVM to your PC and power it on. Wait until all four COM port entries appear in Windows Device Manager.

Now right click on one of the four COM port entries for the DCA1000EVM and then select the option to update the driver. Specify the folder you just unzipped on your PC for Windows to look for the driver. Let the installation proceed as normal at this point.

You will need to complete this step three more times to install the updated FTDI driver for each COM port.

This should resolve your issue.
