TMP464: _THERM pull-up to 5V

The datasheet parametric table for TMP464 doesn't specify a recommended max pull-up voltage for the _THERMx outputs.

The pin functions table alludes to a limit of 3.6V, but this is far, far below abs,max = 6V for this pin.

Customer wants to power TMP464 with 1.8V, but have _THERMx pins pulled up to 5V.

Is this OK? Still well below abs max.

Is there an ESD protection diode from _THERM to V+ of the device that would get in the way here?

Hi Steve,

There is no ESD diode between the THERM/THERM2 pins and V+ pin. The circuitry connected to the THERM/THERM2 pins is rated up to 5V nominal. The customer can connect the pull-ups on these two pins to 5V as long as they satisfy the VOL, IOL values for the THERM/THERM2 pins in the datasheet.
