AWR1642: TPS7A5201 (Pin 4) : PG control Power ON sequence

Hi

Do you have the concern if TPS7A5201's  (Pin 4) : PG  connect to AWR1642's Pin R3(AR_NRST)?

It controls Power ON sequence to let AWR1642''s system all power ready and then make sure AWR1642's Pin R3(AR_NRST) just  can leave SOC Reset.

    Hello Charles,

    Are you using the TPS7A5201 LDO to provide 1V RF supply ? We would not recommend using the PG of this LDO to control the AWR device nRst since it might trigger if the transient dips are large during the framing due to large transient loads.

    The 1V supply need not to be available at the time of the nRst release, it just needs to be available before the RF power up is done by the application.

    Yes, we are using the TPS7A5201 LDO to provide 1V RF supply.

    Hi Vivek,

    How about 1.8V and 1.2V? Do NRESET need wait utill those 2 channel be ready? or only after 3.3V ready to release nreset is OK?

    Hello,

    Nreset can be released only when all the three supplies, 1.2V,1.8V and 3.3V are already available. This is mentioned in the device datasheet.

    Thanks for your answer. Yes I noticed that datasheet required all 3 supply to be ready before NRESET release. I just saw the feedback you gave below, and concerning on it.

    Hello,

    That is right, it is not a problem if the 1V supply comes sometime before RF powerup. For other supplies, they have to be available before nReset release.
