IWR1642BOOST: traffic monitor LAB UART_OUT

Part Number: IWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWAVE-SDK, IWR1642

Regarding this lab. I used to do vehicle counting without using gui, and now there are two problems. My idea is that before the data is sent through the serial port, the first step is to analyze the data, (refer to tm_demo in matlab), the second step is to directly solidify the parameters that need to be set into the code, so that the serial port sends directly The required data (get the count of each lane), this part of the code is modified in mss. I want to know whether this idea is feasible and whether there are suggestions and guidance for reference. The second question, I was looking at the mss code, and I didn't find the specific location of the serial port sending data code. I hope to answer it as soon as possible. I hope you can help me answer it as soon as possible, I would appreciate it.

  • Hi User,

Can you specify which version of the Industrial Toolbox and mmWave-SDK you are using?

  • I fixed iwr1642 at the actual intersection, and now the detection effect of the car is not good. I want to improve the accuracy of detecting vehicles by modifying certain parameters. I found through reading the relevant documents that the Allocation Parameters and Gtrack parameters in the tm_demo and play_demo programs can be set directly by these two programs? Why do I report an error and cannot run after I have modified the start point?
If not, please tell me where these parameters can be modified in the program.

    Hello,

Please provide more details on the error you are receiving. The gtrack parameters can be tune for offline post processing via the replay GUI. Refer to the gtrack tuning documentation to ensure that you are setting all the parameters as shown in the guide.
