Hi,

I just received the module yesterday and was wondering if there is a simple solution for showing a detailed point cloud for evaluation purposes.

I already tried the mmwave demo visualizer but I would like to show the capabilities from this module more like it is shown in some rviz demos.

Could you mention if I will need the MMWAVEICBOOST Carrier Card for a simple Proof of Concept?

In the future I would like to detect people movement and position for gating.

A short step by step guide would be really helpful.

If you prefer visualization in rviz please use the driver here: http://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=AOVWxEvg-HcESecamNaaLg__VLyFKFf__LATEST

This will enable you to visualizer the point cloud from the mmWave SDK OOB demo in RVIZ instead of the mmWave Demo Visualizer.

No, you do not necessarily need the mmWaceICBOOST. It is needed if you are going to modify the demo code and need CCSdebug functionality or to capture raw ADC data.

Can you clarify - are you seeking to do people tracking with motion gait analysis as in you need to distinctly visualize the human limbs? Hello,

thank you for the Information regarding the driver.

Actually the AoP Sensor will be placed on a static position and I would like to count people walking through a specific area.

I'm just interested in differentiating humans from other objects. If you could share any further examples, demos or guides I would highly appreciate.

A note in the driver information says: Please note that the IWR6843AOPEVM does not work with the ROS visualizer in standalone mode. It must be mounted on the MMWAVEICBOOST.

So I think that I'll not be able to run the demo.

I am looking into how to enable it for the AOPEVM without the ICBOOST. Please give me a few days to get back on this.
