IWR1642BOOST: iwr1642boost : driver vital sign

Part Number: IWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR1843, AWR6843, AWR1642, AWR1843

Hi experts

vital sign demo is not working on iwr1642boost

it only shows the result like the photo i attached

the graph is not correct at all , and after i recognized this issue, i could find the same cases on the forum ,regarding iwr1642boost with vital sign detection.

so id like to know how to figure it out and get the decent result

i had the same board, iwr1642boost 2yrs ago, and it did work very well as far as i remember.

thank you

  • So first, you mention the driver vital signs demo, but the GUI you are showing is from the human vital signs demo in the Industrial toolbox. The driver vital signs demo is in the Automotive toolbox.

Second, you need to provide more information, such as the version of the toolbox the demo came from and the version of the EVM if you know it.

Third, it would help if you could describe how far along the process do you get - I assume you can flash the binary successfully. Can you attach TeraTerm to the USER UART port and get the demo prompt?  If so, can you copy/paste the configuration to it and see if it starts without error?

  • i think i sorted it out temporary, ill post another thread as long as i find the trouble again er

    thank you

  • Hello jungsang, can you share more details about your solution? Right now I'm trying to do the same but with IWR1843.

  • Hi,

The current driver vital signs demo is not ported to run on xWR1843.  To do this, the pinmux statements need to change and the chirp configuration also needs to change to use Tx antennas 1 and 3 instead of 1 and 2. The next release of this demo will run on AWR1642, AWR1843 and AWR6843. This update will be in a few weeks.
