IWR6843AOP: Usage of ready build firmware from lab's ES1

We try to use ready build firmwares from the lab19 in our proof of concept design. Our system consist IWR6843 antenna board, boost platform and raspberry pi4. Our IWR6843 version is ES1 (as said this is PoC) but we have already ordered ES2 antenna board also.

Problems what we phase are mostly robustness of the system. For example we need to reset boost platform between configuration changes, otherwise system starts to respond weirdly. Also when we use same configuration than in lab, the respond for 'AccelerationParam' is that it is not supported CLI command. We don't get that when running demo in the pc. We use lab19 binary from industrial_toolbox_3_6_2.

Are ready made binaries robust enough to be used in demos/PoC's? Do you think that changing some configurations might help us to achieve our target?

Hi Sami,

If I understand correctly, you are facing issue using the chirp configuration file when you build the lab Vs when you use pre-built binary from tool-box 3.6.2.

We see error when using default configuration file with lab19 firmware. Also we would like to know are binaries suitable for PoC usage. At least we have issues with robustness (need to do hw reset between configurations changes).

Hi Sami,

You will have to reset the device to reconfigure. What do you mean by POC?

PoC = Proof of concept. To show that our design meets product expectations.

Can you answer to question about what might be the issue with AccelerationParameter command? When trying to use that the firmware from lab19 returns that it is not 'cli' parameter?

Hi Sami,

The cli command is "MaxAcceleration" not AccelerationParam, it was put into the cfg file incorrectly.
