Dear TI
3D People Counting and HAVC both labs are use capon algorithm, About long range people counting is capon too ?
It's chirp setting different at long and short lab ?

Hi,
The Long Range People Detection Lab uses the OOB signal chain. This is because Capon is not suited for long range detection.

Dear Justin
We observe at long range no dead zone issue (issue happen at HAVC and 3D) we are use the same ‘custom antenna’ for test . Follow test result use ‘custom antenna’ with capon need modify some thing for this issue. TI EVB antenna with capon is ok but some antenna modify the dead zone is happened. How to close this issue? Can we send our sample for TI to analysis?
BR
Hi,
Have you calibrated the antenna, using the OOB demo method? The Capon algorithm is very sensitive to antenna misalignment, which happens in production (nothing is built perfectly). Typically, OOB demo chain will be less effected by this, the symptoms you are reporting point to a need to do calibration. Procedure is described in the mmWave SDK doxygen: file:///C:/ti/mmwave_sdk_03_04_00_03/packages/ti/demo/xwr68xx/mmw/docs/doxygen/html/index.html - see the Range Bias and Phase Compensation Section.

Justin
