Hi,

What sensors does TI provide to measure or sense RPM of a 12V fan? Alternatively is there a combo that can control RPM and measure?

    Adam,

    Please take a look at the AMC6821. It provides the capability to measure the RPM of a 12V fan as well as measure temperature from a remote junction or the local termperature (internal to AMC device).

    The AMC6821 is rated for 6.5V abs max on all pins. Therefore, if configuring with a 12V fan you will need a resistor divider on the TACH pin as shown below.
