AWR2243BOOST: AWR2243BOOST is compatible with the mmWave Demo Visualizer?

Hello Guys,

I just like to conform if the AWR2243BOOST is compatible with the mmWave Demo Visualizer?

Because it is not included on the list of boards on the drop down menu of the Visulaizer. If it is compatible, is there a way to connect it with the mmWave Demo Visualizer by selecting any of the similar boards? I am thinking that maybe the AWR2243BOOST was not included since AWR2243 is still a preview part.

Hi,

The mmWave Demo Visualizer is a GUI used with the mmWave Demo included in the SDK.

The mmWave demo is supported only on programmable mmwave devices.

The AWR2243 is a sensor only device and not programmable. This means that it must be used together with a host processor.

As such the mmWave demo is not supported on the AWR2243BOOST.

AWR2243BOOST can be used together with the DCA1000 Capture Card to collect raw data and process it with matlab

Getting back on this, does this mean that there is no way to evaluate the AWR2243BOOST without the DCA1000?

Either the DCA1000EVM or some kind of host processor is required when evaluating the AWR2243.
