Hi, there.

I noticed that different beamforming technique are used in the industrial tool box demos. the bemforming in the out-of-box demo aligns the phases of all the receive channels while the people counting demo uses a high resolution Capon beamformer. Do you have any documents describing the performance of those two techniques on ODS EVM?

I have studied the people counting design document. I am interested in the performance of the Capon beamformer. For example, for two point targets with equal strength, how far away in angular space can they be distinguished?

HI Zhaohong,

Our algorithms team typically estimates that angular resolution of Capon Beamforming is half that of the standard expectation for the antenna. The typical ISK azimuth resolution is ~14 degrees, Capon can provide angular resolution as low as ~7 degrees.
