We are working on vitalsign project on IWR/AWR6843 and 6843AOP.

from 2 meter, other noises from wall and others are too strong and range bin selection is not correct.

So, we want to use "clutter removal" method used in people count demo or easier way to apply here.

How can we apply it easily?

or Are there any way to select range bin more exactly?

For example, a subject is in 2 meter away(configuration min~max : 0.3 ~ 2.5 meter)

But, it shows 2.45 meter as it shows a strong power amplitude.

Basically we tried to merge people count project and vitalsign in one project. But, it was too tough to consider. Therefore please suggest us that we can do easily select range bin more correctly.

Hello

Seems like you are dynamically trying to decide the location/range bin for applying vital signs.

Is the CFAR algorithm similar to the implementation in OOB demo letting you identify the location/bin of interest?

You can force the demo to look in certain range bin by modifying the code as well.

Hi Chunghee,

The static clutter algorithm is fairly simple to implement, it works as follows:

1. After 1-D FFT is complete for all chirps, find mean value for each range bin of the 1-D FFT

2. For each chirp, subtract the mean range bin values from each range bin

There is also an example implementation in the out of box demo.
