DCA1000EVM: Using CLI Tool on Linux

Part Number: DCA1000EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1243BOOST

Hello,

We’re trying to use the DCA1000EVM CLI software to control recording from the AWR1243BOOST in Linux – we have it working ok in Windows and also with Ubuntu running on a standard laptop (with x86 processor) however when we try it with an Nvidia Jetson AGX Xavier embedded PC (with Arm32 processor) we are running into issues.

We get the below message when trying to run start_record in Linux and found that the terminal window that opens (which waits for the capture to be triggered a couple of seconds later) closes straight away. Note that this is using a json config file that worked ok on Windows/laptop Linux DCA1000EVM CLI with same parameters, also have run fpga config and record config prior to start_record:

When I set Preferences in terminal window to hold terminal window open when command exits, I can see below in newly opened terminal window when I run start_record:

This seems to be a SIGBUS error – is it because Linux is running on Arm32 architecture rather than x86 architecture do you think? Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Best regards,

Peter.
