IWR6843ISK: Improving People Counting by adding Object Classification

I am working on the IWR6843ISK with MMWAVEICBOOST to develop a people counting application. Is it possible to extract the micro-doppler from the point cloud information, then use that and the distribution of the point cloud to classify objects (e.g. walking, running, sitting, lying down). Or is that information not available through the UART connection and the DCA1000EVM must be used to extract the doppler plots for post processing?

I would appreciate it if you could advise on methods for object classification of people. Thank you.
