Hi,
I have brought PGA460PSM_EVM. To test it do I need to use the BOOSTXL-PGA460 board? If not then how to test this alone?
Regards,
Shankar

Hi Shankar,
To evaluate the PGA460PSM-EVM, you can use any 3.3V (default) or 5.0V logic level microcontroller. You do not need the BOOSTXL-PGA460 board because this is a different PGA460 EVM board (used as part of the full-scale EVM).
If you want to repurpose the software examples and GUI created by TI for the PGA460, then I recommend that you order the MSP-EXP430F5529LP. This microcontroller board can then be used to run the PGA460-Q1 EVM GUI with the PGA460PSM-EVM through UART, and allow you to run and edit the PGA460 Energia Library and Code Example for your custom firmware development.
See the "Ultrasonic Sensing with the PGA460-Q1" video series ( https://training.ti.com/ultrasonic-sensing-pga460-q1 ) for a demonstration of the GUI software and what the device is capable of.
