IWR6843ISK: No success flashing binaries using UniFlash, and have tried existing solutions

Hi there,

Am having trouble trying to flash the IWR6843ISK. It is an out of the box unit with no changes from my side whatsoever. The mmWave Demo visualiser connects alright and is working as a radar. But when I try to use UniFlash to flash a binary, it comes up with the serial port errors also mentioned in other threads. If I press the NRST/SW2 before flashing, then UniFlash just hangs while trying to open the port (though no error message comes up). Also tried hard resetting. Also tried killing the NW.exe processes (I'm using Windows 10 and the NW.exe processes are killed anyway on exiting UniFlash).

I'm using UniFlash V6.0.0.2710 recently downloaded (though it shows up as a 32 bit software while my platform is 64 bit). SOP2 and SOP0 jumpers are on, so definitely is in flashing mode. 5V supply is good. 3V3 power good LED is on. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Hi,

The setup looks okay,

do you have the visualizer running or any other program using the terminal?
Can you comfirm you are using the right COM Port?
After setting SOP, can power cycle then hit reset before flashing?

Hi Charles,

I just tried again. No visualizer was running or any other program running the terminal. I'm using COM4 as identified in the image below:

The SOP0 & 2 jumpers were set, I power cycled, the launched UniFlash, then hit reset SW2, and then pressed load image on UniFlash. It is still stuck on the following screen:

Also tried hard power cycle again, then SW2/NRST, then launched UniFlash and selected the binary with COM4, then hit SW2 again, and then hit load image. It is still stuck on the above screen unfortunately.

Can you confirm what the revision of the MMWAVEICBOOST? You will need to remove the antenna board, you should see a PROC074 A or B.

It says PROC074B-001. The -001 suffix appears to be handwritten. Looking forward to your advice.

I have same problem. My new MMWAVEICBOOST Board have PROC974B-001(001 is handwritten) too.
