AWR1843: Silicon version

Hi,

We refer to below post to read the bit 3:0 of 0xFFFFE228 on MSS to get AWR1843 silicon version.But the value we got is 0x2 for bit 3:0. There is only silicon 1.0 for AWR1843. Why the value is 0x2? Does 0x2 value on bit 3:0 of 0xFFFFE228 on AWR1843 mean silicon version 1.0?

Hi,

According to the datasheet this is Rev 2.0 - there is an "A" in the part number (please see page 76)

Thanks for your reply. But it confused me.

In latest mmWave sdk 3.4 release note, it says it support AWR1843 ES1.0, instead of AWR1843 ES2.0.

The devices and platforms supported with this release include:
Supported Devices Supported EVM
AWR6843 ES2.0 N/A**
AWR1843 ES1.0 AWR1843BOOST - AWR1843 Evaluation Module Rev C

There is only errata for AWR1843 silicon revision 1.0.

Hi,

The AWR1843 is based on AWR1642 silicon Rev 2.0 This is why the Rev is 2.0

However there is only one Sample Version 1.0. This is why the AWR1843 ES1.0 numbering is used.
